Lecture – Isolation & Restoration (52min)

In this lecture we will discuss the following topics

1. Protocol for success
2. Restorative quadrant cases
2. The combination of the matrix with rubberdam in direct cases
3. Isolation and cementation of indirect restorations

Split-Dam

In this video we demonstrate the application of a split-dam in the anterior region.

A split-dam can be used in situations where there is a fixed orthodontic retainer that doesn’t interfere with your procedure and you don’t want to remove the wire. This type of isolation can be used when doing edge bonding after orthodontics or for minor repairs. Also perfect for veneer or crown preparations.

If the retainer does interfere, or the procedure is close to the gums, remove the retainer and go for a normal tooth by tooth isolation.

Retraction Cord

In this video I would like to show you how you can use retraction cord to get extra retraction of your rubberdam.

Teflon

In this video I will show you how you can use teflon to get more retraction of your rubberdam.

Floss Ligatures

In this video I would like to show you how to make a floss ligature and how to place and remove it.

Lecture – Advanced Isolation (50min)

In this lecture we will discuss the following topics

1. The floss ligature
2. How to modify your rubberdam clamps
3. Different examples of isolation with multiple clamps, teflon and/or retraction cord
4. The use of retraction cord
5. The use of teflon
6. The split dam

Templates – PacDam

In this video I will show you how you can use the PacDam as a template to mark your rubberdam.
